About Us
Over the years since 2018, Care and Compassion Network has grown to over two hundred and forty-five volunteers throughout Nigeria. Together, we have been working tirelessly to make people’s lives easier and better. And we’re proud to be changing people’s lives.
Poverty has ransacked the world. More people live below poverty line. Countless do not have access to basic amenities. We canāt stand by and watch.
Neither the government nor the markets alone can remove this problem and a host of others. All hands must be on deck.
According to reports, more than two billion people from all around the planet are lacking fundamental amenities from clean water, good roads, food, shelter, electricity to education. At CCNetwork, weāre here to change that in our own little ways.
How It All Started
In August 2018, Waliyulah Olayiwola met a man, Mr Abideen Oyedotun, who needed to perform a surgical operation at the University College Hospital(UCH), Ibadan. The man was under serious pain with cancer of the hand.
Mr Oyedotun had run here and there initially. Family and friends had come together to help treat the hand up to the stage where the surgery was needed, again. The hospital decided to amputate the cancerous hand altogether.
Waliyulah saw this as an opportunity to earn a friend and also earn reward from God. So, he decided to organise a fundraising for him.
With help from his network (circle of friends online) and their own networks, they fundraised for the man and the surgery was done successfully. Hence, the name Network in our name.
The Birth of an NGO
Since that day till this day(December 28, 2019), one year and four months later, an NGO, Care and Compassion Network abbreviated as CCNetwork formerly Lifeline Charity Network abbreviated LCNetwork, has been created to cater for and has been catering for people like Mr Abideen Oyedotun.
The organization was successfully incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission on February 26th, 2019.CCNetwork is a network of like-minded people. Generous and compassionate to the cause of being caring and kind to people who are in need.
Everyone in CCNetwork is important. They have collectively put smiles on peopleās faces. Also, with the help of compassionate donors who see our fundraising banners and donated generously, many needy people have been cared for.
Our mission is to put a smile on every face we can, to alleviate poverty and hunger in the continent of Africa. We work to feed, empower, cloth, and provide basic amenities such as food, water, electricity, housing, and healthcare to the poorest of communities across Nigeria.
Our vision is hinged on exhibiting love for God, the Creator of all, by showing mercy and compassion to His people. We want to create a world full of abundance where every human being has the same opportunity to access good lives.
